Conflicts of Interest and Incentives

Funding Hub may receive commissions from funding partners for providing financial advice services.

Commercial and Asset Finance: Commissions vary depending on the funding partner and specific product.

To manage conflicts of interest, our advisers follow a strict advice process focused on your goals and circumstances. All advisers receive annual training on conflict management and our compliance program undergoes regular audits.

Fees and Expenses

At Funding Hub, we charge a broker fee for each transaction, which ranges from $0 to $1,000. This fee is included in your loan structure and repayments and covers our expert services in securing the best financial solutions tailored to your needs and goals. If you choose not to proceed with the credit contract, the broker fee will not be applied.
Please note that the lender will also have their own fees and charges for processing your loan and registering security on the PPSR. All associated costs will be clearly communicated to you upfront once the lender approves your loan.

We may charge a fee for financial advice in certain situations:

  • Advisory services that do not result in a commissionable transaction
  • Complex lending arrangements
  • Obtaining finance approval for a transaction that does not proceed
  • Early repayment of lending that incurs a commission clawback

Clawback Recovery Fee: If a loan is repaid early, resulting in a commission clawback from the lender, we may charge you a fee to cover this cost. For commercial, business, or asset finance, this fee will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Complaints Handling and Dispute Resolution

We strive to provide excellent service, but if you have a complaint, please follow these steps:

  1. Initial Resolution: Contact the adviser you’ve been dealing with to discuss and resolve your complaint. We aim to resolve complaints within seven working days. If more time is needed, we will inform you of the expected timeframe.
  2. Escalation: If your complaint is not resolved, you can contact Managing Director Eugene Selwyn at Funding Hub by phone at 0275 22 22 12, email at eugene@fundinghub.co.nz, or in writing to PO Box 46230, Herne Bay, Auckland 1147. The Managing Director will review your complaint and provide a written response.
  3. External Resolution: If your complaint remains unresolved after following our internal process, you can refer your complaint to the Financial Services Complaints Ltd (FSCL), a free and independent dispute resolution service.
